Liturgical ministry is an excellent opportunity to utilize the talents and gifts that God has given this community to the fullest extent. Whether participation is through “behind the scenes” preparation or through a public role of service within the Mass, your help is needed to offer a truly life-giving celebration. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these ministries:
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Adult parishioners who volunteer to assist the priests with distribution of Holy Communion at weekend and Holy Day Masses. Training is provided for you if you would like to become a Eucharistic Minister at Mass.
Lectors
Adult parishioners who volunteer to proclaim the Scripture readings, with the exception of the Gospel, during Masses and other Liturgical celebrations. Lectors will also be commentators to read the general intercessions during Mass.
Sacristans
Adult parishioners who will set up the altar, Communion vessels, Body and Blood of Christ, and other items needed for weekday and weekend Masses. Sacristans will also ensure that all sacred vessels are properly cleaned and stored after Mass.
Ushers
Parishioners who wish to be an Usher will welcome and greet parishioners and visitors as they arrive at weekend and Holy Day Masses. In addition to their normal duties, ushers will help find seating, collect offertory, and distribute bulletins.
Altar ServersBoys who have made their First Communion through high school are invited to assist the priests during weekend Mass and other liturgical celebrations. This is a wonderful way for parish youth to learn and grow in their appreciation of our rich Catholic tradition.
