Forming our children in the Catholic faith is critical to helping them learn more about and love their faith.
Our Religious Education program for grades 1-8, enables this by teaching them about God’s love for them, preparing them for and receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist (in second grade), and promoting ongoing learning in their faith. Classes for youth in grades 1-8 are held Wednesday evenings at St. Francis Xavier in Lake Mills from September through early May, beginning at 6:00 pm and concluding at 7:15 pm. You will obtain the full schedule when registering. Two teachers lead each class and parents are encouraged to support the program by assisting whenever possible.
Our Religious Education program for high school students, enables our youth to learn more about their faith by teaching them about God’s love and mercy for them, preparing them for and receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation (in 10th grade), and promoting ongoing learning in their faith. The primary aim of sacramental preparation is to ensure that students approaching the sacraments are suitably instructed and properly disposed. Sacramental Preparation is in addition to regular faith formation in Religious Education/Family Catechesis or our St Therese of Lisieux Parish school.
